Reading
Read for 10 minutes with your child daily. You could read a paragraph and then your child could read a paragraph and alternate.

Current Events.
Complete the news plan and colour it in. Choose one of the news items from the class work.
For example:
When? Friday February 1st
Who? Sir Paul Holmes
Where? Mana Lodge, Hastings
What? Famous broadcaster Sir Paul Holmes has died.
Why is it news? He was probably our greatest broadcaster. He was knighted only two weeks ago.
My opinion on this piece of news is it was sad to hear that Sir Paul had died. He made a fantastic contribution to NZ and it was great that he was knighted recently as he was quite ill.
